I just have to share something my wife brought to my attention last night. Typical mother went snooping thru my daughters diary. My Daughter Abby is 9 years old and was saved at age 7. It's hard to imagine that a child can really have an understanding of Christianity, shoot as an adult it's difficult to try and take in and understand everything.

But after I chewed her out for snooping, my wife read me a little bit of it. I was nervous to hear what she had to say. I figure 9 years old she's going to be writing about a boy she likes. Instead what I heard made me start crying. My little girl is filling her diary with letters to God. She is telling about her days to him how she loves everything that Gods provided, the earth, sky, wind and trees and also writes about family and thanks for watching over everyone. It goes on and on.....it really choked me up. I tell ya, just when you think you suck at being a father, especially of a little girl, you get a repreve with good news like this.

So you admittingly participated in the crime.
"Ladies and gentleman of the jury, I submit to you....."

j/k

Children really get it easier than adults. Even the bible directs us in a similar way, "except ye come as children....". This isn't a referrence to come to Christ AS a child but rather LIKE a child, dropping all preconceptions, misconceptions and religion. It is awesome that your daughter knows at such a young age. There is a very well known preacher that came to faith at three and will defend the genuineness of it tooth-and-nail.
Thanks for sharing this, it really doesn't act like sharing things (bread, candy) which are gone in the spreading, it is multiplied. (hope that is clear as mud d'oh! )

Wow Andy.... That is sooo cool! I'm kinda going thru it right now with my youngest boy... He working out his choices for his college education and can't understand why no one told him to apply for more scholarships.....

I asked him if everyone of his councelors at school hasn't been harping on this since the first of the year... Then I asked him about the emails I forwarded to him.... He looked a little sheepish... I think he's having to come to terms with the fact that he only gets out what he puts in.....

That's really cool Andy.

BTW I don't think it's wrong to read her diary. I run a dictatorship in my home; Tristan can have privacy when he gets his own place.
